Martin F. Gaynord, III

Martin Francis “Marty” Gaynord, III, age 66, of Middlesex Twp., passed away on Thursday morning, February 26, 2026 at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Twp.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA on March 6, 1959, he was the son of the late Martin and Barbara Pelkofer Gaynord, Jr.

Marty was a 1977 graduate of Mars High School and St. Vincent College in Latrobe.

He had worked in the produce department of Giant Eagle in Gibsonia.

He was a member of St. Mark the Evangelist Parish at Holy Sepulcher Church.

Marty was an Eagle Scout with Troop 412 in Valencia. He enjoyed playing Pokemon Go with his granddaughters.

Surviving are his daughter, Marita Lehman of Pine Twp., his grandchildren, Maura, Alexandria and William, his sisters, Barbara Ann Aho of Lake Worth, FL, Patricia Kennihan (William) of Middlesex Twp., Michele Gaynord of Carnegie and Nora Miller (Matthew) of North Hills, his brothers, Matthew Gaynord (Theresa) of York Springs, PA, Mark Gaynord of Middlesex Twp., and Michael Gaynord (Diane) of Hawley, PA, also nieces and nephews, his best friend, Tony Huerbin of Evans City, and his former sister-in-law, Sheri Gaynord.

Friends will be received at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, PA on Monday from 4-7 PM. Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Sepulcher Church, 1304 E. Cruikshank Rd. Butler, PA 16002 on Tuesday at 10:00 AM. Please meet at the church. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the family to assist with their expenses.
